Big fat negative :(

I believe I ovulated 10 days ago and my period is expected on this coming Wednesday (the 17th) so I thought it was ok to take a FRER test and it was negative. Did I just test too early? I feel like a have pregnancy signs but there wasn’t even the hint of a line
