Induced!?

Question

How many of y’all were induced and what was your experience with it, I’m set to be induced on the 19th due to some blood pressure issues!! FTM so just curious!!!

I got induced on the 2nd had baby on the 3rd. I was having contractions when coming in but I wasn't dilating any so they gave me medication vaginally. Around 7am I got the medicine around 11ish I started feeling feeling contractions...12 hours later contractions were super strong...asked for the epidural I got it around ... 1 or 2 am had a good night sleep. Around 10ish they checked me and I was dilated to an 8 ... 11ish I was a 10 and ready to push ... 12:15pm baby boy came. I pushed for maybe a little more than an hour. At the end the epidural kinda wore off and I felt the last several pushes. I didn't have a horrible experience like everyone around me was telling me why I shouldn't get induced and blah blah blah .... my baby came out weighing 9lb 14 ounces there was a reason I asked to be induced a few daya past my due date. I wanted a natural vaginal birth and if I would have gone over the 2 weeks I most likely wouldn't have had one. So am glad I made that choice despite all the judgmental comments that were made to me. =) you will do great.

With my first my water broke but labor didn't start so they gave me pitocin. They started it about 2hrs after my water broke and it was horrible! I just had my 2nd baby 12 days ago and told my dr from the beginning that if the same thing happened I wanted to wait longer before being given the pitocin. I was 4cm dilated and 75% effaced for 2 weeks before my water broke. I labored for 6hrs but never dilated past a 6 so they started the pitocin. I warned them that pitocin turns me into the devil and it did exactly that! Laboring for 6hrs before was painful but not unbearable once they started it I was in the worst pain ever! I also can't have an epidural which probably would have been amazing!

Being induced def hurts more, I’m trying my hardest to go into labor on my own yesterday I walked for 5 hours around shopping still nothing and I’m dilated to a 4 .. I get induced on Tuesday morning and I would rather not.. but by the looks of it that’s what will be happening.

I'll be getting induced on the 19th as well if Baby doesn't show soon! Due date is the 17th but because I have 2 blood disorders and being on blood thinners Dr won't let me get to 41 weeks! FTM as well!!
