Twin feeding routine?

Question

When all help is gone and it’s just you and hubby how did you rotate and feed to prevent either parent from complete exhaustion? Also did it work best to feed one then the next or both at the same time? I’m dying for tips and a variety of solutions. My cousin has twins and she said she had them from the time she got home from work until midnight so her stay at home husband could get a break and sleep then he covered from midnight and on. The problem with that for me is that my hubby does side jobs after work. She also said she fed them at the same time and I just don’t see myself managing to feed them both at the same time.

Sometimes my mom comes over to watch them while I nap. Sometimes hubby will take them for an hour while I nap. But basically I do all day and all night on my own. I have Tim he twin z pillow I keep downstairs to feed them both (yes good god always at the same time!) and keep two boppies right on our bed to feed them at night. I prop the bottles with thick blankets and sit there and watch. You’ll figure it out!

Me and my hubby tag team we feed and change one each. Saves time then we can both relax. Sometimes if one of us needs a break the other will take care of both.

My husband worked nights so it was always just me taking care of the babies. Lots of sleepless nights. Can’t remember much of the first 6 months. I nursed them tandem once they were about 3 weeks old. I used a breastfriend twin nursing pillow. Once they switched over to full time bottles I put a boppy on each side of me on a small couch in my room and sat in the middle and fed each baby simultaneously. I used the boppys even when I was nursing them. It helped me have somewhere to set them while adjusting or burping or while one ate longer than the other. I always fed them together so if one woke up to eat I woke the other. That way I could get at least 45 minutes sleep before it was time to feed again. You’ll find what works for you.

Thank you for sharing ladies. So far I’m feeling defeated. I have my mom to help for the next 2 weeks but have yet to manage to make it through one night without help between mom and hubby. Hopefully I’ll find what works for me soon!

We each feed a baby. If there is a a decent amount of time in between feeding and one girl is up we wake the other to feed. During the day we do a lot of bottle propping. We have the twin z pillow set up in a pack n play and place the girls on it with their bottles of need be.

Feed both at once. I didmost the work husband worked alot so he was already tired. It wasnt that bad if you manage to put them on schedule and they sleep at the same times u can nap

It’s so hard. Routines are really difficult to establish when they’re little, and when your babies often have very different needs, habits and personalities. I am at home and look after them during the day. When my husband gets home from work around 6pm we have dinner and I go to bed. He goes to bed between 12am and 2am, and then I start feeding and taking care of them so he can get some sleep before leaving for work at 7am the next morning. 
Unfortunately the night time from around 7-10pm is usually the worst, and my daughter has a ‘witching hour’ then when she just screams uncontrollably for ages. So when I should be sleeping I am usually staying up or getting up to help my husband. So I basically have very little broken sleep and am exhausted all the time. 
I do have some help from my mother and sister in law some days, without which I don’t think i’d survive! 
Feeding both at once is tough, but the only alternative when they’re both hungry is to let one cry. It’s awful and makes you feel so guilty. My son usually gets hungry first so I try to feed him as soon as he shows signs of being hungry so that he can finish before my daughter wakes up.
