Recently I’ve noticed an irritated spot on my vulva that feels itchy and a little sting-y sometimes. Not all the time, so I haven’t been too worried about it. It’s also a little red in that area. I thought maybe it was an ingrown hair, and maybe it is, but after what I discovered just now I’m not so sure and I’m starting to worry. I was sort of massaging the area to get rid of the itch and I felt a small, hard, round bump. It’s NOT on the surface of my skin though, it’s underneath, and that’s what’s got me worried that it might be cancer. (I am sexually active, so that’s why I’m also worried it could be an STD.) Specifically, the bump is under my skin and it’s right beside my clitoris, kind of in the fold of my labia majora. I just compared it to the other side and you can sort of see that the messed up side is a little bigger/is more raised where the bump is compared to the normal side. Has anyone had a small hard lump underneath their skin in that area before? What was it??
