So y’all I’m just wondering, is it okay for a parent to playfully smack their preteen/teenager on the butt as they would a boyfriend or girlfriend? My mother did this to me so many times over the years and it made me so uncomfortable but when I said anything about it she would say “I’m the parent I can do what I want, I’m the adult you’re the child.” But what I’m trying to get at is is it really okay for a parent to do this to their kids? Especially when it makes them uncomfortable?

I’m keeping this anonymous because I’m so uncomfortable with the thought of it. I just want opinions.
