No. I’m sorry but I could not date or be married to someone who supported trump.  Also, I’m very firm in my views for things like abortion rights and lgbt rights, so I would never be with someone who was against those things.

Depends on how different. On small things, yeah. On issues that are important to me, maybe not. My boyfriend is not as conservative as me, but we agree on the issues that matter the most to us.

My husband is much more conservative than I am. I am fairly moderate, but socially liberal. We disagree on many issues like abortion, gay rights, etc. but we always have a respectful discussion about it. I think diversity is beautiful as long as it’s respectful.

My political views are heavily informed by my core values. I couldn’t be with someone whose values so deviated from my own that we ended up on different sides of the political spectrum. That’s a gap I just wouldn’t be willing to overcome.
That said, no one really agrees with their partner on all things political. My husband and I share a very similar political analysis but we still debate about the issues all the time. If you agree with your partner on everything, IMO it’s typically a sign that one (or both) of you isn’t thinking critically, which would also be a huge problem for me.

I'm atheist. Fiance is catholic. I'm liberal. He identifies as conservative. Key word. Identifies as. All his beliefs are liberal lok. and since we've been together he's grown even more liberal and tries to be PC. I love it. And our relationship. As long as there isn't any fighting or anything bc the differences or a "I'm right, you're wrong" attitude, different views are okay.

We can certainly disagree on a lot, but basic human rights are non-negotiable. The idea that EVERYONE is human and deserves a life with dignity and equality is non-negotiable. We can certainly disagree on the best method of achieving these goals, or the most effective way of raising funds for infrastructure repair, but if someone ever said “abortion is murder” or “marriage is between a man and a woman only” nah, that’s straight up deal breaker shit because you don’t believe people have equal rights 🤷‍♀️
