I gave both my breast fed baby girls a pacifier a two days old with no issues.

Both of our boys were given soothers shortly after birth. The first was by us and the second was by the pediatric icu doctors.  Personally they were life savers for us. #1 wouldn’t sleep at all without nursing until we tried one after the first 3 nights of screaming.

They have been shown to help prevent SIDS so yes, every little bit of prevention helps.

My third baby wanted if before we even left the hospital lol. This child is almost 8 months now and still likes something in his mouth constantly

The NICU gave my baby a pacifier without my consent the day he was born. He had latch issues in the beginning, but now has a great latch and has always been a healthy eater.  He would take a pacifier occasionally in the first month, but has refused a pacifier since. He’s 5 months old. Every baby is different though.

i gave my lo a paci at 2 weeks. shes ebf and we also just introduced bottles at 2 weeks and she has had no nipple confusion at all. goes between all 3 whenever like a champ

Think it’s recommended in the US. We gave our daughter one when we got home from the hospital. She used it a little bit and then stopped around 2 months.
