Do I get the puppy?

My husband doesn’t care either way but I don’t want to seem like I’m being selfish. 
He wants a Corgi but not until our 10 month old is older. We have a 2 year old Golden Lab mix now. We have been looking at Labradoodles and found a perfect 12 week old girl. I know it’s a lot, obviously, but I have the time for it all. I’m stuck.

Sounds like your husband is just thinking that now isn’t the right time for another pup. He clearly wants to wait until your child is a little older and that sounds fairly reasonable.

There is a huge difference between having one dog and two. If you’re questioning it at all don’t do it.

If you get anything, get it from a shelter. There’s no reason to “buy” a puppy

If you want a dog you should rescue and adopt instead of pay for a designer breed. Having two dogs is much different than having one.

Wait for the corgi lol those are so cute. I got a puppy even though my man said no. I regret it but we love the puppy and I know now to compromise and not do things without his approval on matters that affect our lives/family. Lucky puppy I got is favorite breed though lol...but I still feel bad🤦

Wait until your kid can walk/talk and listen. You do not want to try and bring a baby with you every time you have to take the puppy out for potty training

my puppy has separation anxiety and as much as getting another dog would help, i told my husband NO ANIMALS. not until we have kids! because you know how it goes... “hey what do you want for your birthday?” “A PUPPY!!” i’d like my kids to be able to be old enough to understand we had one dog and now we have two and it’s part of your responsibility to help take care of it. i still remember the day my brother and i came home from school and there was a box on the sidewalk with two black kittens in it. old enough to know, old enough to remember. i hope this makes sense! it’s also a huge responsibility just on its own, without anything else. my heart breaks for the animals that get adopted as “make up presents” and then they break up and where does the dog go now? good luck!
