I voted no. BUT I do encourage my husband to wrap up any non-essential phone calls asap when he gets home from work because our son hasn't seen him all day & gets excited when he comes home. It really doesn't matter who he's on the phone with, so I feel like you might be missing the issue by focusing on the fact that you're on the phone with your mom specifically. When either of us come home, we pretty much finish up any convos saying we just got home & are going to see the baby now. It's not the child's fault that someone may be hard to get ahold of. So again, on occasion I think it's fine but it's something to try to minimize imo & your bf makes a valid point imo.
