We've been trying to conceive for 16 months already. My husband and I are 2nd marriage, and we both have kids from the previous marriage. We are married for almost 4 years already. And we would really love to have at least 2 kids together. We have a beautiful blended family and we'd love to add to the bunch. I've been on the Mirena IUD for 2 years and I took it out about 17 months ago.

My husband got sick 2 years ago with kidney failure. He went into cardiac arrest and he was revived 3 times and Thank God he is here with us today! He had a successful kidney transplant Thank God! and he's on lifetime anti rejection medication. This whole craziness might have to do with why I'm not conceiving. We've done an at home sperm count test. It was positive Thank God. I know there's a few more reasons to check the sperm professionally, like the mobility and who knows what else more...

I was wondering if anyone here knows any more details what it can be, and what we can try at home before going to check by a professional doctor?

Would maybe an at home insemination increase the possibility to conceive?

If there is anyone here who experienced something similar, or any professional doctor on here, I'd like to hear options and opinions. Thank you!
