Just last October i was dropped and divorced by my spouse of over 19 years. A year later I still have an intense hatred and spite towards him. He was already talking to another woman during our separation and within a couple of months after our divorce the two of them were already living together and engaged to be married. The two of them swear nothing was going on during our marriage but I call BULLSHIT!! Our family has been utterly decimated but he wanted to be friends and his poor feelings were hurt as I told him I didn’t want to be friends. I told him he wanted me out of his life so that was what he got. We still don’t communicate at all. I’m only thankful that our kids are old enough that I don’t have to act as intermediary. I’m just curious to see how many other women have experienced this same scenario. Is it normal for asshole ex’s to want to assume friendship and get upset when you tell them to piss off? How many still bear at least an intense dislike for their ex?
