Anyone have empty sac at 5 weeks?

I secretly told my mother in law we were expecting and asked if she could sneak me in for a quick vus. I went in at 5 weeks exactly. I had a blood spot and empty sac. She said everything will be fine to come back in a week. I know early scans are not recommended but after a miscarriage i was concerned. With our first child we seen him, like a little piece of rice. Now nothing with this one, going in Thursday to get another vus. Super nervous.

That’s way too early because at 5 weeks past your period isn’t 5 weeks for the baby

Most docs won’t do a scan before 7-10 weeks as you won’t see anything

I came in for my first prenatal thinking I was 6 weeks. They said I’m 5 weeks based on the sac. Nothing in it. I knew what to expect. So my doc did exam and blood work and then check my HCG levels (doubled within 48 hours) and told me to come back in a week. Last Monday, I came in and she did the scan. A little tiny something inside the sac and capture the heartbeat! I will see her again in 8 weeks and then every 4 weeks after that.

At 4w3d the ultrasound tech couldn’t even find a sac after I had a few days of light spotting. Then I had more spotting and an empty sac at 6w5d and then at 7w5d there was a tiny bean with a tiny heartbeat! Now 26w4d and everything seems to be going well! The truth is a lot can change in just a few days in those early stages. Try not to worry yourself if you can help it.

3 weeks ago I went in, they told me I was 6 weeks based off my last period. I knew from ovulation I was closer to 4. The tech measured a 4 week old empty sack. 
Went back two weeks later to see a baby measuring at 6w5d with a strong heartbeat that was last Wednesday.

This was mine at 7w1d but I was measuring 6w3d, just a tiny little dot. My specialist wouldn’t do an ultrasound before 7 weeks for that reason, it’s too early to see anything and seeing an empty sac can cause more stress than necessary. At 7 weeks we got to see and hear the heartbeat and saw itty bitty baby. I’d give it two more weeks and try again.
