Do certain creams ‘really’ prevent stretch marks?

Anyone out there recommend or had experience?

People got on me for saying yes you can prevent them. Because they are genetic. But I swear if you are CONSTANTLY  putting lotion and oils on your stomach you most likely won’t get them. Or I didn’t. I got them every where Didn’t put lotion and oil on😭 (butt&boobs)

I used Clarins Huile tonic every night with my first pregnancy and only got 1 stretch mark on my hip. I have lots of old stretch marks my hips and butt from puberty, so I feel like I am genetically prone to them. I’m 5’2” and gained 42 lbs and had a giant bump. It’s expensive but a little goes a long way. I used 1 bottle per trimester and 1 after birth . I ended up getting some stretch marks on my breasts when my milk came in but they faded completely

Highly recommend Mothers Blend! A friend of mine who gained a bunch of weight and ended up getting terrible stretch marks used it and they vanished! I also used it during my first pregnancy and didn’t get one. Hoping the same for this pregnancy as well🤞🏽

I’ve used pure Shea butter with all my pregnancies. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 I have on stretch mark on my hip.

With my first I used bio oil and coco butter from around 3 months, I didn't really show at all until I reached 7/8 months. Wore my own clothes all the way through, and at 20wks was only weighing 9st3oz - my stretch marks are insane!! I truly don't think what you use will ever make a difference, it depends entirely on the elasticity of your skin and your genes. 
I still use creams in pregnancies since then, but only to help prevent the itchiness.

There’s a genetic component, but there’s also an environment component, like for most health related things. My mother has stretch marks on her boobs and on her hips, but she rubbed hydrating lotion and Cocoa butter 3 times a day on her tummy everyday from the second trimester with each of her 4 pregnancies and she did not get a single stretch mark on her tummy.
I also have old light stretch marks on my hips and butt from puberty. I’ve started using Palmers oil for stretch marks and tummy butter. 🤞🏾
