How long before your period do you boil your cup?

I'm not completely sure when to boil my cup prior to my period? I usually lose track of the day and realize I'm just about to start my period or I start my period and have to wear a pad while I boil it... its 4 days before my period and I'm really paying attention this time. So how far in advance should I boil it?

When my period is over... I do before and after each cycle. And softly wash in the shower with unscented soap during period days.

I have been using a cup for about 7-8 years and honestly rarely ever boiled it... I just wash with warm soapy water and air dry... never had any problems!

I boil mine after my period is over and then a few days before I boil it again, but when my period comes I wash it before putting it in. I like to be extra clean about it all though.

I wash my cup with toy cleaner and then boil it per the manufacturer instructions for use and cleaning at the end of my cycle.  After it’s dry, I put it in it’s storage bag and it’s ready for the next cycle.

I thought it was meant to be done just before you put it in, so that it IS actually sterilized.... that’s what I do anyway
