So I'm about to have my first baby and am curious about birth control. In the beginning of my marriage I was on Tri-Sprintec.. it was horrible. I got extremely depressed and gained a bunch of weight even with a healthy diet and exercise. I could not lose a single pound. So I took myself off of it and started tracking my fertility instead, which worked until one night we messed up and here I am 9m later🤷‍♀️ I may go back to tracking my fertility after this pregnancy but I'm honestly scared of getting pregnant by accident again right after having a baby. So I've been thinking of the copper IUD. I like that it's no hormones but I want to know what everyone's experience is with it? I read that it lasts up to 12 years but is it possible to get it removed anytime if I want to get pregnant sooner than 12 years? Husband and I want to try for number 2 in about 3 years.
