how did u moms take care of your babys cord?? first time mom and i need advise help

I did not touch it at all, you just leave it and it will drop off on its own. If you feel like you need to clean it then it should only be around it and dont put water on it. And make sure nappy does not rub against it

I just left it alone. If it happened to get damp I would make sure to dry it off well. Otherwise I just made sure the diaper was low enough that it wasn’t irritating it and mostly used kimono-style shirts so they didn’t rub on it.

Dont touch it or put water on it. Clean around it and don't pick at it.

I didn't mess with it at all. Just folded the diaper so that it didn't rub on the stump and it fell off within a week. Then I gave him his first bath and very carefully washed it with a cloth. It's completely healed now at 2.5 weeks old 👍
