Sorry if I have stupid questions I just really never even heard of an iud until my roommate got one like a week ago (very sheltered upbringing lol)

But I was just wondering if an iud would mess with my hormones? Or are there hormone free options? I really just need a method of birth control besides condoms and the pill. Sometimes my boyfriend and I won’t use a condom and I’m just so bad at making sure to take the pill at the same time every single day.

Would the iud be a good option for me?

Also would I be able to get one put in at a planned parenthood?

I’m 23 but I’m still on my parents insurance and they’re just too religious for words
