Period late - quit birth control after 10 years (updated)

Sidney

Hi ladies,

I don’t have anyone to talk to about this so I’m posting here hoping I can get some direction. I’m 25 and had been taking birth control since I was 15. I decided to stop taking the pill for various health reasons about three months ago. Since then my cycle was basically regular except my period started at night instead of in the morning. I wasn’t having sex so everything seemed regular. Well on Monday 10/8 I had sex for the first time since quitting. I had sex with the same person twice and we used a condom both times up until the very end for maybe even a minute. He was having a hard time finishing with the condom on and I knew that was risky to not use one but I allowed it because this tracker said my chance was very low at 3 percent. Well my period was supposed to start this Monday 10/15 and it still hasn’t started. Could this be my hormones because of quitting birth control or could I actually be pregnant? How long should I wait before taking a pregnancy test if I’m already two days late?

Thank you for reading my post and any feedback is really appreciated.

UPDATE

So it’s now Friday and I’m going on 5 days late. Ive taken two pregnancy tests, one on Tuesday and one on Wednesday and both were negative. I used the early results pregnancy tests so I don’t know if that makes a difference.

I’m still freaking out. I’d like to know what’s going on with my body. Could I still be pregnant?
