Piercing ears ?

Question

My daughter is almost 3 months and I’m not sure if I want to pierce her ears but her daddy does. I’m unsure because I don’t want to cause her any pain. I’m also scared for chocking reasons if she ever pulls them out of her ear and puts them in her mouth 
Has anyone done it ? 
How was the experience ?

I got mine done when i was 2 months and i did the same with my baby girl . She did cry, but after she was fine. It’s been a month now and they’re doing great no infection, and she doesn’t even touch them .

Some people on this app are super sensitive about this topic but I'll share my experience...

My girl knew what was going down lol

She cried for couple seconds, was fine &sleeping by the time we put her in the carseat...we gave her Tylenol an hour b4 to help with any pain...

We never had 1 single issue...no bleeding no tugging..never been snagged on anything she did so good when we cleaned them with her solution & they healed fast a week or so... I'm so glad we got it done at 8wks b4 she's was older &we got it done at Claire's they did great with us & gave us 30%off thru out the entire store😍

My mom had mine done when I was a baby. I'm glad she did so I didn't have to go through the pain of it. However, idk if this is due to my ears growing later or if she took me somewhere like a Claire's (idk where she took me) but one of my earring holes is lower than the other side 😒 truthfully, I'm probably the only one who can tell but it's still enough that it bugs me lol. 
I have a 14 week old girl. My husband and I decided that if she wants them done, we'll leave it up to her when she's a little older.

I got my little ones done at 8 weeks, she’s 15 weeks now and is fine. She got them done at her pediatricians. It was very quick and she barely cried.

Idk what they use now, but when I had mine done as a baby, the earring backs were screw on so they were tight and wouldn’t come off (and also weren’t sharp on the backside). Most women end up piercing their ears anyway, and if they’re a baby—you can make sure they’re kept clean as opposed to a child/preteen trying to keep them clean. However you run the risk of your child growing up and not wanting them. Not likely, but possible. Just don’t go to like...Claire’s...I’ve heard horror stories. Do they still do them at the doctor?

I waited til my eldest daughter was old enough to decide. She was 6. And she doesn't ever wear earrings now at 14 lol my 5 yr old daughter hasn't decided she wants to yet so maybe in the future.
