My boyfriend wouldn’t like me with short hair
So me and my boyfriend started bickering over my short hair. I said maybe in the future I might cut it short, so it would be about boy length, as I have done before. And he kept telling me he doesn’t like short hair on girls and that’s why we didn’t start dating earlier since I had short hair when we first met and he didn’t notice me. The argument got heated since I felt insulted and that he wouldn’t be attracted to me because of a certain haircut. He promised he would always love me and be attracted and if I really wanted to he would support me but really doesn’t ever want me to. At the end of the conversation I pulled back my hair (into a ponytail) to show him what it would look like. He basically said “oh yeah never get your haircut short” I felt so insulted and I felt ugly so I started crying. He immediately regretted it but I stopped talking since I needed alone time. Do you think I should respect his preference? Am i overreacting? Even if he wasn’t respectful to me, should I just stop causing fights about it?
