Experience with Feeding Specialist?
I am taking my LO to see a feeding specialist at a speech therapy clinic tomorrow. She will be 20 weeks old tomorrow and we have been trying since 3 weeks to get her to drink from a bottle with minimal success. I had been going to her daycare on my lunch break to nurse her and stopped that for 2 weeks thinking she'd get "hungry enough" (you know that's what everyone says - if she's hungry enough she'll drink from the bottle). That didn't work. She was averaging approx 3oz drank all day (between 6am when she nurses and 4:30p when we got home). So, I am back to nursing her on my lunch break. Which is fine. But I need to know what the issue is with the bottle and if it's possible to fix it. I am worried that she won't be able to drink from a cup and have issues eating solids and all this other stuff. I am so stressed out. SO, just inquiring to see if anyone else has gone to a Feeding Specialist and if so, why did you go and what was the outcome?
