Anyone not announcing?

Is anyone not announcing their pregnancy on social media? I used to be someone who posted a lot about her life on social media and stopped awhile ago. It seems that pregnancy is a huge thing to share and I can’t decide if I should or not? I’m thinking of mailing out announcements when we get pictures done instead. What about you all?

I announced on social media but instantly regretted it and wish I kept it a secret between me and my spouse. People give you unwanted advice and say unnecessary things that may upset you. I’m not even posting pics of my child because of how cruel social media can be. That’s just my experience

We didn't announce on social media. Just went old school and told people that we wanted to know in person. We're not down with all these pregnancy trends like doing a whole announcement photoshoot or gender reveal event. We definitely kept it simple and liked it better that way.

I wasn't going to, but my sister is a receptionist at the GP I go to and she found out and told my parents before I could, so I gave up and told everyone.

I don’t think we will be with this one. We will most likely do a birth announcement but that’s it. My SO and I barely use social media anymore so it won’t be that hard for us 🤷🏻‍♀️ but I love to see all the announcements everyone on this app puts together for social media, they’re so crafty!

I’m 18 weeks, FTM, I haven’t made any kind of social media announcements and don’t plan to. No maternity photo shoot or gender reveal party. Keepin’ it simple. I told friends and family personally. It’s fun to run into people and just let them notice the bump 🙂 
I will be having a shower though.😁🍰🎁🎈

I announced the pregnancy but will not be announcing the gender. I don’t like having everybody giving me their 5 cents on my baby haha..  people close enough will know but other than that nope 🤷🏼‍♀️

Definitely not going to post on social media. I hardly use it as it is and will only let the people who I see or speak to regularly know. Perhaps I’ll post a pic when (G-d willing) baby is born.

I announced on social media and never had any rude comments or anything. I only updated people about my pregnancy maybe three times in the 30 weeks I was pregnant.

I posted well after my anatomy scan. I have a huge family, and it’s literally the only way to reach them all. I don’t typically post or comment on Facebook. I got a lot of congratulation messages and likes but that’s it. No one gave advice or initiated much conversation because they know I don’t use Facebook like that.
