How to play Sims?

I’m sure this sounds stupid but I want to play sims but don’t know where to start playing lol. I have a MacBook Pro so I’d like to play it on that. Do I just purchase something from the App Store? Or is there another platform to get it on?

you have to download origin and then buy sims off origin or just go to the store and buy the CD

I have the sims 4 that I bought from origin but I also have the CD (original & maybe 8 or 9 expansions) of the sims 3 but you always have to get the original first and install it to your computer

I can’t remember if macs have a disc drive but if they do I recommend getting the CD version for your PC. I hated having origin downloaded on my laptop but Sims is well worth it if that’s your only option.
