Belly button ring and pregnancy...

I bought a pregnancy ring that's long enough to stretch with my belly. However, it looks like I have a growth through my shirt (lol) and I'm thinking about removing it for the last 3 months of my pregnancy. I'm afraid it will close.... Any one have this issue?
