Will your mom be in the delivery room?

My husband and I have decided that we'd like to have it be just us in the delivery room. I haven't told my mom yet. She hasn't come right out and said she wants to be there but I have a feeling once I tell her I'm in labor she's going to come in. Especially if I have a planned induction which seems more likely now. If she asks I'm not sure what to say to not hurt her feelings. I don't think it's wrong but I feel a little selfish. Any thoughts?

I did with my 1st. I had both mums. If you have 1 you gotta be fair and let both come. But my 2nd i had no visitors and this ones being born at home

My mom will be. If you don’t want your mom there maybe try saying it indirectly in a conversation. I know you probably feel really guilty but don’t!! Its your baby and your moment and have every right to decide you just want your husband and yourself. She might be upset by it but she will understand

My mother lives nearly 400 miles away, but even if she was nearby I’d probably just want my partner there. I don’t want too many people about at that time.
Plus, my partner has seen me naked. I don’t feel comfortable with my mother seeing me like that

I had so many people in the room with my first (MIL, SIL, Mom, hubby, and my friend) when he was born everyone was reaching over petting him but when my second one came he came out so fast it was just my husband and I so it felt nice and intimate. So I let everyone know that I want that again but I don't mind them waiting and seeing #3 right after I get some time with her. My mom was hurt but it's my only daughter and I want that moment that I will never get again

I originally just wanted my SO in the room, but we've struggled a lot throughout my pregnancy. Now I would feel more comfortable with them both there. My mom has been such a huge support to both of us, I think she will only be helpful when time comes. And if I end up changing my mind and don't want her there the entire time (start to finish), I know she'll be okay with that.

Our plan is to have my mom there during labor but once it’s time to start pushing she’s getting kicked out and will let her know when she can come back. we want the first few hours when he’s here to just be us and she’s being completely understanding. Just gotta do what you feel is right for you 🙂

I always thought I didn't want her in the room but the closer I get to delivery the more I'm 100% sure I will want her and need her there. Plus, my husband is going to be a total wimp, so he'll be no help. If he doesn't pass out I'd be shocked 😂😂

Well that’s the plan, my husband and mum however my mum lives 3 hours away so it’s a case of letting her know when I start getting pains or my waters break, hopefully she can make it 😂

My mom with my 1st my mother in law was in with my 2nd this is our last baby so just us this time. Everyone is different and this is an exciting time in your lives she has to understand. I mean I’ll let them in the room until I’m ready to start pushing but when that time comes everyone is going to be asked to leave.
