So we were getting close to start taking discharge from the NICU. Finally off of oxygen and working on bottle feeding. He had 2 inguinal hernias and the docs wanted to repair that before discharge. So my baby boy had hernia surgery and circumcision last wed. They surgery went well. But the recovery has been insane. He’s failed two extubations. Meaning we’re on day 8 from surgery still with the breathing tube in. They found he has some bacteria and has put him on antibiotics. I keep praying to god this infection goes away so he’s able to breathe on his own again. We were so close to home and have taken 2 steps back. Now once he gets better. We gotta start from scratch all over again 😪🙏🏻💙
