Doctor late for iui

Wife and me are currently at the doctor, we brought in the sperm at 10 am and she was supposed to get the <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IUI</a> around thirty minutes later. It's been a couple of hours because the doctor is late, does the <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IUI</a> still work? Isn't the sperm supposed to be used asap?
