anyones baby not take a pacifer?

pacifier? my son doesnt like them and i have tried lots. it's not a huge deal, but what do you moms whose babies dont like them do to calm baby and help them relax.

Mine won’t take a pacifier, but she’ll suck on my finger. Otherwise we have to walk and rock her.

My daughter wouldn’t take one but I just ordered this one and she will take it when she’s very sleepy. It’s proven to be very helpful for me the get her to sleep when we’re out and about and it wasn’t convenient to breastfeed her. I recommend it!

My son mostly refuses all pacifiers too. We have tried nuk, mam, gumdrop, soothies. We weven went and got tommee tippee since he takes that bottle. We just keep trying since he typically tries to go for the thumb. I was a thumb sucker until fourth grade so I really try and push the pacifier (can take away a pacifier... can't take away a thumb).
When you try the pacifier, the trick is to try and pull it out. Babies naturally reaction will be to suck to pull/keep it in their mouth.

Mine won’t take a paci, she sucks on her hands to self soothe - which backfires if her sharp nails catch her lip. Sadly she’s already found her thumb a few times too. Our pediatrician actually said to just keep trying because it’s easier to take away a paci than a thumb. I bought a munchie mitt, but it’s too big right now.
We also use a noise machine. Also, I found a “shush” track on Spotify that I play on repeat for her when she’s fussy and I’m trying to calm her down to get her to sleep. I used it during the last leap because I had a sore throat at the time and it was difficult to do it myself so much because she was constantly fighting sleep so I was having to do it sooo often. I used it the track so much then that it works like a charm every time now. Def recommend it.

Mine used to love the paci now she angrily spits it out in favor of her thumb. It really is a life saver though, I would suggest helping her find her thumb lol

Mine won't either!!. Really frustrating because I also have a toddler and it would be really nice to give baby something to soothe him for a few minutes while I'm busy with sister.

White noise, the dryer, or even the water running has soothed my no pacifier wanting daughter 😂 so weird!! But they work!
