Breast pump at hospital ???

Okay STM but first time attempting to breast feed. I got my pump and totally lost. Anyone taking theirs to the hospital? Do they help show you how it works, when to use maybe?

Bring it and leave it in the car. The hospital probably has one too. You probably won’t need it. If you have trouble breastfeeding, ring the lactation consultant on call and have them help you EACH TIME you try to breastfeed. Don’t be shy about this!! Watch some YouTube videos in advance to get some ideas.

Nope I’m not bringing mine to the hospital I want to get baby established first couple feeds then when home and my milks fully in last time wasn’t even 48 hrs and I had my milk start pumping. And they suggest drinking over 4L of water while breast feeding every day  ! Most people feed baby and then pump right after and store it in the freezer and it last 6-12 months in there

I would suggest if you are not sure how to use it then take it so you.can ask and are comfortable. I didn't take mine with my first but had to pump in hospital because baby had issues latching. They had pumps there and it was the same as the one I had at home so I lucked out.

I'm planning on taking mine with me so that I can get a quick tutorial on how to use it. FTM here.  Would rather have an opportunity for someone show me while Im kh hospital than having to arrange for a visit with lactation after I get home. Plus my lamaze instructor suggested bringing with as well.

I didn’t bring mine to the hospital. But I had a lot of apprehension about using mine for the first time - I had a friend walk me through and it was way easier to get the hang of than breastfeeding! 
If you bring yours I’m sure they could help show you how to use it!
