Why does my fwb text me sometimes to check on me but doesn't ask to hookup?

So I got braces recently and he texts me sometimes to see if I'm doing ok. I was late on my period too and told him about it, he would reply normally until the conversation ends.

My period did came but a few days ago, I told him my period has ended and am hinting in a way that I want to do it, since it's been more than a month that we last did it (Before my period ended, he said that maybe we can do it after my period ends).

He just replies me with an "ok 😘" and disappears.

I know he's busy with work and has multiple partners but does it mean he is done with me since I'm not personally attractive and his other partners are much better?
