Diaper cream?

Question

How often are you applying diaper cream, powder or ointment on your little ones bottom? I’m a FTM and I’m not sure how often I am supposed to be doing this. Thanks

I guess I'm an odd ball and probably considered shitty... But I only do it when I notice a small rash has happened which is usually after he's at his grandparents house (they baby sit while we work). He has only had maybe 5 rashes his whole life and he's 2

I do it as a preventative, after nearly every diaper change. And also, we change her fairly often, she does not sit in poop or pee for long!

I only use it when it's needed. I feel like it's unnecessary  to use it every time. My son is 18 months and I've only needed to use a diaper cream maybe five times.

Only as needed. My daughter is 4 months and hasn't had a diaper rash yet.

I do the "normal" bum cream (the stuff you get in big tubs) and some powder every change, but if there's a rash or something that looks a bit too red in leg folds etc, then I use stuff like metanium nappy rash cream.

I do it every time unless we are changing her into a fresh diaper after her bath. I always use A&d for the pee diapers and desitin for the poop ones as it’s a little thicker. She’s 16 months and never had a diaper rash or any irritation.
