Any success stories out there?

Danielle

Based on a “normal” woman’s cycle my doctor expected me to be 6 weeks, 4 days at my first u/s. The u/s showed me at 5 weeks 4 days. I explained to the doctor that my average cycle is 33 days and luteal is around 12. Based on my calculations 5 week 4 days was spot on. All we saw was gestational sac and yolk sac. Regardless, she told us to prepare for miscarriage.

That day I had my Hcg tested and it came back 8634 (progesterone around 22). Despite her warnings, in my opinion at that point, things seemed fairly on track.

The problem is 44 hours later I retested Hcg and it was only up 12% to 9671 (same progesterone). Again, she wants me to prepare for miscarriage and even said it could start this weekend. To date, I have had no abnormal cramping or spotting at all. My symptoms so far have been sore/enlarged boobs, periodic nausea, periodic dizziness, get winded easily, exhausted. No vomiting.

I have read that once your Hcg hits 6000 it takes 4+ days to double. Has anyone had an “off” Hcg test above 6000 and had it either rebound normally or never had a “normal” doubling - but still went to carry to term?

My next u/s is Wednesday which feels like a lifetime away.

Any insight or support would be much appreciated. ❤️
