Septate Hymen?

I have never had an issue with my period and putting/taking a tampon out UNTIL TODAY.

A little info before I start:

I am sexually active and have been for about 2-3 years now and haven’t had any issues. No pain nothing, and when I had sex for the first time I bled but nothing more after that.

Today when I went to the bathroom it was normal I was going to change my tampon. I went to pull it out and it just stopped. I was so confused so I went slowly and it was still stuck. I got scared and looked down and it seemed like something from in me was holding it back. It looked like a cord wrapped around it. I have never had this issue and so this really scared me. When I finally got it out of course I did some feeling around and it feels like a cord that connects from one end to another inside my vagina. I read places that this is a septate hymen (or however you spell it). Like before sex hasn’t been an issue so I’m confused where this came from. Im scared to put another tampon in and I’m scared for the next time I will have sex. Since I haven’t had an issue with this previously do you think it will go away and I’ll be fine??? Or will this continue to bother me now?? I’m worried idk what to do.
