So this is gonna sound stupid, but my SO and I follow each other on Instagram, and I was scrolling through his profile when I noticed tagged photos on there which he doesn’t really have except for one from 2014. All of a sudden these appeared out of nowhere, the tagged photos and there were a bunch of them with his ex girlfriend.

I didn’t even know who his ex was or looked like or really cared until I clicked on her profile which is public btw.

Why am I seeing these tagged photos now all of a sudden? Was her Instagram page private and when she switched to public, it showed all the tagged photos? Is that how Instagram works?

I just thought the timing was weird because last night was the first time I met his parents and had dinner. Then today I was scrolling through his profile and all of a sudden, all these tagged photos from 2013 are showing up.

It’s just a little weird how the timing of this is. I don’t think he’s still talking to his ex as he doesn’t follow her on Instagram or anything like that. But maybe his mom and his ex still talk? I know I should ask him this question but idk it just feels weird seeing those tagged photos all of a sudden. I feel like I just discovered his past not in a bad way but yes
