Is this normal in a vaginal exam?
The reason I'm asking this is because I've only ever had a very quick vaginal exam done before after a papsmear. Here's what happened:
Basically I went to the doctor because I had a yeast infection that wouldn't go away. I was quite inflamed. The doctor wanted to do a vaginal exam and check for any abnormalities and take swabs for std's. The doctor did not use a speculum because of how red raw I was down there, instead the doctor used their fingers (with gloves). During the exam the doctor kept twisting their fingers inside my vagina near the cervix. The twisting motion isn't something I'm used to and I wanted to know if that's normal? The doctor did it multiple times, it seemed to go on for a long time (however when you're in an uncomfortable position 20 seconds can feel like 5 minutes lol). Is this normal?
