Hospital bag help??

I’m having a VBAC this go around and I need to know the must haves to pack in my hospital bag. With a c-section you don’t have to have certain things as far as healing for “down there”. What are some things I should have on hand?

Diapers for yourself!! Seriously the BEST.

The hospital usually will give you padciles and disposable undies while there and will usually send you home with a bunch of giant pads to make it through the first heavy days. Also they usually provide a peri bottle for rinsing after using the bathroom definitely make sure you take it home! It's a life saver for your vag! (Spray water to rinse after peeing and pat dry with tp especially if you tear or get cut) I'm gonna try out the adult diapers this go around but will leave them at home and just use what hospital provides until I get home. The hospital also gave me a can of dermoplast to spray down there to help with the pain. I'd say visit the hospital to see what they provide for aftercare before you go packing a whole bunch in your bag since most likely they will provide all you need til you get home.

Good luck, I’m also trying for a VBAC! I loaded pads with aloe Vera and witch hazel and stuck them in the freezer last time for recovery- can’t vouch for their efficacy of them as I had an emergency csection- but I’m going to make them again this time in hopes of using them 😊

A sensitive wash for down below, lots of mayernity pads and spare knickers, can't think of much else 🤷‍♀️
