Taking your 1 yr old trick of treating?

My LO will be 13 mos on Halloween and he’s been waking since 10 months. I wasn’t originally going to go trick or treating (cuz he can’t eat the candy anyway) but I do want to show off our cute family costumes. My best friend said to take him anyway with all of us dressed up and just go to a few houses but have fun waking around the neighborhood. Interested in what other are doing.

We are doing a family costume and attending a community event at a park (trick or treat trail). We may pick up the candy at the stations around the trail, but only for the Preggo mommy not for our 1yo 😂. I have seen some other community events at shopping centers too, w pumpkin decorating etc- it’s a good alternative to door to door candy stopping :)

Were all dressing up and just gonna go for like an hour or so. Weather depending. We didn’t do anything last year since she was too young. So I’m excited to start this year.

I’m trying to decide the same with ours. We’re at the exact same level with our walking! I think I might just take him to our next door neighbors so they can see him and then hand out candy with him.

We don’t trick or treat as much as we do trunk or treat. My little girl was picking through the buckets, pulling candy out one by one, and dropping them into her bag this past Saturday. It was so cute!!!

We are going to a trunk or treat that way he can get a little candy that he can eat and it’s not such a large area to walk around and it’s at our church so I at least trust the candy

Yes I have a 2 year old who will be going so we are taking our one year old as well but probably only for a little while. My mom will be passing out candy while we trick or treat and probably hanging with my daughter when she is done trick or treating so we can continue to take our son around. It depends on weather though too.
