Catfish or you knew ?

How were y’all able to tell if you’re being catfished or not? A lot of y’all have been saying you met your husbands or a/o on different dating sites etc but how did y’all know y’all weren’t being catfished? Like what made you start trusting that person was who they say and posted to be was?

I met my husband online but we met in person within a couple of weeks. 
If they live near you and won’t meet up within a reasonable amount of time talking, I’d be suspicious. If you live further apart, I’d be suspicious without Skyping or FaceTiming after messaging for a while.

There’s a difference between building a foundation for trust and stupidly putting all of your faith into a stranger. It’s not difficult to tell when something is amiss.

I met my bf online playing video games so we were just gamer friends and then it kinda just happened 🤷🏼‍♀️ he texted me some pictures of him and then we eventually snapchatted and then started doing video calls. It was him the whole time, I never really had any doubts that it wasn't. been together 2 1/2 years LDR.

I wasn’t about to be catfished.. but after he finally did video chat me we met up a few days later and hung out almost every day and moved in with each other a few months later and we have been happy ever since.. 😍💜
