my boyfriend and I are talking about engagement. he plans to get engaged 2019-2020 to me.

Our parents haven’t met and I was reading online about how parents don’t usually meet until engagements/weddings.

I saw a lot of comments about how they think it’s not that important.

My boyfriend is Hispanic and his parents are so different from mine.

I’m nervous for them to meet but it also isn’t something that’s soooo important before we get engaged.

I’m curious on others take of how important it is to you?

Or if you’d do it before getting engaged or it doesn’t matter.
