Gender reveal?? Yay or nay?

Okay so I have a gender determination ultrasound appt today so I could choose to find out now or should I have a gender reveal party? The only reason I’d want a party is cause it’d be fun and exciting for everyone BUTTTT I don’t really have the money or a place figured out and I’d have to wait even longer to find out the gender cause I’d have to plan a party.. idk what I should do... what did you guys do or what are you doing?

These people make me LOL. If you want a gender reveal party, do one. They are so fun. Planning mine has been so fun and so suspenseful. It’s great to hear my mom tell me “I can’t wait for Sunday” because I really can’t either. After 2 miscarriages, we have a healthy growing baby. So I of course don’t care how much anything costs or how long it takes. Or anybody’s opinion on my reveal because it has made me and everyone around me sooooo excited. Do whatever your heart desires ❤️

We are not doing one. My husband and I will find out the gender around Thanksgiving and then share with the family individually. Lots of fun seeing everyone’s reaction in small portions. I think either is fine. Just do what your heart really desires.

I had a reveal with my last one and I’ll do it again this time. I dont do a party though. More of a photo opportunity so it’s just a few of us. I’m really hoping I could do it at Thanksgiving this time when there are people there and no extra effort lol

I’m doing one at the house. Just ordering some pizza, chicken and sandwiches. If you want a party do it and keep it within your budget.

You don’t need to spend a lot of money to do it! We are having a real small gathering and I’m having a cake made. Nothing fancy any expensive. If you don’t have the money then don’t spend it on that when you have a baby due.

Gender reveal parties kinda rub me the wrong way too. I'm super excited about my baby and knowing all there is to know about it, but I dont like how excited people get based on gender alone, knowing that they're somewhat celebrating stereotypes. Also, by giving people a chance to vote on what they think it is, some people will be disappointed when they're wrong. And I dont want anybody feeling that way about our kiddo!

I had a gender reveal party with my first and it was so happy and fun! One of the best surprises ever! But I cannot muster up the motivation or energy to do a party this time. I’m going to find out with my husband at the ultrasound and then do a little fun reveal for my family afterward but no party.

My friend is throwing mine! It’s November 3rd, and I’m so excited! I didn’t have one with my first child because it wasn’t a thing then, but I feel like it’s another way to celebrate baby! ❤️❤️
