Cats .......?

Anyone worried about their cats being around you while pregnant I keep thinking about them spreading toxoplasmosis everywhere it makes me afraid to pet them or lay with them I have two cats ... thoughts ?

Stop it's only outside cats that get it. I used to work in an animal shelter have had so many people bring their cats in because they got pregnant and thought it was a bad idea to have a cat I have 5 of my own and my first is now 15 months and I'm pregnant again. They are family

Haha. It’s only if you touch their poop. Don’t change the little box. I have 2 cats and 2 dogs. We have an automatic little box so I don’t have to worry about it. Don’t worry unless you legit touch their poop. And even then they may not even carry it. Love them and cuddle them.

What to expect book says just have someone else clean the box and if you don’t have anyone else to use gloves and a mask and then wash your hands after.

I have 2 cats and nothing happened to me when I was pregnant. My hubby cleaned the litter box every day!

We have a cat that loves to lay around with me, sleep in the bed with us, etc. I just let my husband clean the litter box and we’ve had no issues
