Lack of common sense?
So i went to my local grocery store for lunch today. Needed coffee and they do half priced sushi Wednesday. So I’m in the check out, there are two people behind me: middle aged dude, and lady with a 10-12 year old boy. The cashier is ringing me out and another woman is bagging my order. Suddenly the lady bagging yells to behind me “hello Timmy”. She’s talking to the kid. The mother somewhat surprised looks at her like “why do you know my kid’s name”. Apparently she’s an assistant teacher(not his teacher) at his school. Which she proceeds to yell the name of down the belt at her. Ok so now me and this random guy and god knows who else know this kids name and where he goes to school everyday. I didn’t really think this was a good idea to be shouting in the middle of the day in a crowded grocery store. Is this an invasion of the kids privacy? I’m i just being overly cautious or was this lady out of line?
*EDIT* thanks all for the prospective. Now that I’ve read through it, its probably not that bad. Full disclosure I frequent a lot of “lets not meet stories” on reddit and perhaps it makes me overly cautious when it comes to strangers.
Also the sushi is really good, and prepared fresh daily. Judge me if you must but I’m not gonna stop.
