Do you need to confirm your pregnancy with your doctor at 4 weeks?

I know this is a silly question. Of course I know you need to let your doctor know you got a positive pregnancy test, but my question is do you really need to go in to get a positive blood test to confirm? I’ve had a ton a positive pregnancy tests and went ahead and already made my 1st appointment with my ob for the ultrasound and prenatal blood work, which is in 4 weeks. My sisters are saying I still should get a blood test to confirm I’m actually pregnant, but I feel like that’s just a waste of time. Like I said, Ive already had a ton of positive tests.
