What is your baby eating

Question

My son is almost 9 months old. He has 4 teeth. 2 front top and 2 front bottom. Every time I try to give him food, he seems to choke on it. Anyone else having this issue? What are you feeding your baby?

Yesterday he had chicken, carrots, celery, and a dumpling from chicken and dumplings I made (without salt) for dinner. He had scrambled eggs and black beans for breakfast. He had a PB&J for lunch. And Cheerios for a snack with some pieces of string cheese. Today so far he has had some yogurt and blueberries. He eats everything I eat now, just without salt, cut into appropriate sizes, no whole nuts or popcorn or honey.

My LO is basically eating what we eat now. He loves food and a great eater so we definitely didn't struggle in this department lol

Yes. At that age it seemed like she was gagging on everything.  Give it a couple more weeks and try again. Shes almost 10 months and feeds herself anything off our plates as long as they are small enough. If I try to put chunks on a spoon for her she gags. Weird but shes fine when she feeds it to herself

Is he gagging or choking? While its hard to watch them gag, that's them learning how to eat! We started with foods like bananas, avocados and steamed veggies that he fed himself.
Yesterday he ate bananas and scrambled eggs for breakfast. Turkey deli meat, apple and steamed squash for lunch. Shredded chicken, green beans and steamed carrots for dinner.

My guy isn’t choking on stuff any more, but he spits every adult food out... he makes a face as if I’m feeding him a piece of poo 🤢 and pushes everything out with his tongue... he eats baby puffs just fine... so for now we are stuck with puréed fruits,  veggies and meats with out any salt.

I’m having this issue with my baby as well! Every time we try a piece of soft food he chokes and gags.. we try something new every day but he’s just not ready I guess.. we are sticking to mostly puréed until he gets more use to the idea of chunkier foods!

Today my son had a scrambled egg for breakfast, he had apples and butternut squash for lunch and then chicken noodle soup my husband made for dinner. He also snacks on those puffs and yogurt melts all day and the boob of course.

Today he ate salmon and sweet potatoes with sour cream. For lunch he had some of my chicken wrap and some smoothie.
