We are about to purchase our new home and I would like to use gift money that my grandma sent me from overseas to help with our down payment.

I read online that the money need to be justified. How would I be able to justify grandma’s money? She is not a us citizen and does not have a bank account. She sent the money though my husband who visited Romania, one month ago.

Anyone knows if I can use her money? She gave me all her savings , $1,300 and I’m not sure if I can use it.

I’ve read online that “ mattress money “ cannot be used because they are not justified.

Any ideas how I can use the money? Anyone in this situation who received international money?
