How long will a pumpkin stay good for?

We got pumpkins today to carve, but won't be able to actually carve them for a few days. They won't go bad right?

If you don’t carve pumpkins they’ll stay good for months lol

No they won’t. Once you cut into them they’ll start going bad, especially if it’s warmer where you live right now (it’s 50s/60s here)

I carved mine on Sunday and it’s already starting to rot. Hell, there were a bunch st the store that weren’t cut open at all and were completely rotten. I think it depends on the heat and humidity where you are. It’s been getting into the lower 80s and humidity has been around 90%

Carve them the night before halloween if possible. They will degrade drastically once cut into.
