Breastfeeding while pregnant?!

Can I continue to breastfeed my 2 year old? She’s not ready to stop yet and I don’t want to cut her off abruptly but want to wean her off slowly. Is it safe to breastfeed her while I do so or should I just stop as soon as possible?

I know people who have nurses through their pregnancies and then tantrum nurses after. She might refuse once your milk starts changing for baby though.

My doctor told me it’s safe but your milk supply will drop at some point in the pregnancy. My son breastfed until I was 4 months pregnant then I decided to stop, he still wanted to keep breastfeeding but I was over it.

It's safe to nurse while pregnant. It's just up to you. Your milk may also change taste and baby girl will self wean.

Yes you can. I breastfed my daughter the first 24 weeks of my pregnancy until she self weaned. She was 2

You can absolutely continue to BF the full pregnancy or just part of the pregnancy. I nursed my 2 yr old until I was about 6 1/2 months then stopped so that I could have a small break and to give my child time to not be so proprietary about my breast because I wasnt sure if he would  share them with his new sister. My pediatrician said I could have kept going because he would have helped knock out mastitis quicker then a baby would if I get it but luckily that hasn't been a problem.
