Flu shot when prego? Comment as well plz!!

I'm totally against flu shots. I have nothing against ppl who did get it or just get it in general. I understand it's gonna help but I just wanna c what everybody did.

I've never been one to get the flu shot or the flu for that matter. I didn't get one with my last pregnancy and won't be getting one with this pregnancy either.

I didn’t get one. Last time I got one when I was a kid and had the worst flu of my life for over a week, and my immune system is really good now so I didn’t see a point in getting one.

Oops, accidentally voted, and voted wrong. 🙄 Usually I don’t get a flu shot (didn’t last pregnancy), but I did this time. Still not sure why, guess it was a gut feeling that I should this time, and my life is usually better when I actually listen to those.

I can’t speak to whether you should get one -during- pregnancy (above makes me think no), but if you’re about to be a mom, you should get in the habit of getting shots. Herd immunity is CRUCIAL, and you would be sending a message to other mothers that other people’s children matter. It’s about showing the same respect for people who can’t defend themselves against these bugs as you would want other people to show you or your child. My super opinionated two cents because “not believing in vaccines” kills people. Shy of an allergy or religious reason, it’s actually incredibly hurtful societally for people to just decide to gamble with others’ lives like that. It’s one thing to make decisions about yourself, but these sorts of decisions affect literally everyone you come into contact with. And for those who didn’t have a choice about whether or not to get the shot, it’s straight up unfair. 
Also you literally can’t get the flu from the flu shot. I’m happy to explain but if you don’t need me to, I’ll spare you a really long explanation.

I have a compromised immune system so I always get them. Im currently pregnant now and I'm getting mine tomorrow. I've never had any issues.
