So I just scheduled my first appointment to confirm the pregnancy on 11/30, I will be just over 10w by then and it will be the first ultrasound. I was really hoping to get in and have blood work done so I can track my levels before then, but is it unusual to get into a doc before 8 weeks? How are y'all getting the blood work and info on levels??

My provider only does blood draws if there’s a threatened miscarriage. Otherwise, your first appointment and ultrasound is after 8 weeks. Mine is at 9w5d.

I have my very first appointment at 9w6d, they had told me that early on the doc really wouldn’t be able to see anything so it’s best to wait 🤷🏼‍♀️

Everybody is different. Some people need to do an earlier check up because it could be a risk pregnancy or something like that. If you are healthy and just conceived on your own, it sounds about right for them to see you after 8 weeks. It sucks tho, the waiting time and the unknown drive us crazy. 
It’ll go fast and very soon you will be hearing the heart beat.
I’m doing my first ultrasound on Monday, I’ll be 7w3d... and the reason it’s early, it’s because I removed my left tube in August, so the doctor wants to make sure everything is ok.
