Had my son today at 6:52 am. 5 hour labor, barely made it to the hospital after what I thought was a false alarm. The contractions were coming on every 5-6 minutes starting at 230 am. They just felt like severe menstrual cramps so I thought nothing of it. But then at 6pm I started having the shakes so hubby and I headed to the hospital. At this point I was begging for meds but once in triage I was told I was 8.5 cm and 100% effaced. By the time I got to the birth suite I was 10cm and ready to push. No gas and air no epidural and I felt like I was gonna pass out. The ring of fire was real but 4 pushes later my sweet boy was born at 37 weeks 3 days
